"The scouting session is looking to unearth undiscovered musical talent among South Africans aged between 18 and 34 in the genres of hip hop, kwaito, house and afro pop," said Hansa's GM, Mosidi Seretlo. A host of talent scouts have been organised to search for talent across the country. Performers can enter the search online by uploading their music on the Hansa website, www.hansapilsener.co.za.
This competition is open to all performers who are currently pursuing their dreams of musical success and still waiting for their big break. Hansa Pilsener aims to showcase their talent and provide them with a platform to learn from the best in the industry in order to grow that talent. Not only will finalists enjoy the opportunity to spend time with Usher as he advises them and shares the 'special ingredient' that has led to his own phenomenal success, the winners will get to perform on the same stage as the superstar in three performances set to take place in March 2012.
The competition takes place from 17 November 2011 to 15 February 2012. Online entries for performers close on 30 November and Hansa Pilsener will begin the process of showcasing the talent around the country from mid-December / January 2012. Semi-finals will take place over the last two weeks of January and online voting will take place from 1-15 February 2012.
The top performers will be showcased at 30 taverns countrywide. The talent search will culminate in three shows, headlined by Usher, taking place in March 2012 in Gauteng, Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal.
