Stomp the vineyard at Muratie Estate this summer

The Muratie Music Concerts and Harvest Festival present a great opportunity for friends and family to get together and relax under the estate's ancient oak trees, soaking up the music while enjoying fine wines and the Farm Kitchen's summer menu.

The Muratie Summer Concerts offers the following events:

  • 17 January 2015: Lucy Kruger & Andre Leo focusing on the duos latest offering and featuring songs from their respective musical adventures over the years - time 3pm and tickets R100 per person
  • 24 January 2015: Kitchen Jammin Blues Band featuring Rick Stander, Simon Orange, Schalk Joubert, Simon van der Linden and Tim Rankin at 3pm - tickets R80 per person
  • 15 March 2015: Kaleidoskoop, the popular Afrikaans music group led by Jouba and Anique Jordaan, which has been awarded Best Contemporary Album at both the Huisgenoot Tempo Awards and the Ghoema Awards. Time 3pm and tickets R100 per person

2015 Harvest Festival

Stomp the vineyard at Muratie Estate this summer

The Melck family will once again be hosting their annual "harvest festival" at Muratie Estate in Stellenbosch on Saturday 28 February 2015 from 11.30am. The festival is a family event featuring good food, fine wine, great company, live music and lots of fun stomping the newly harvested grapes. Entrance is free.

Cellar and vineyard tours will be on offer as well as a vertical wine tasting for 20 people at noon at R100 per head. In addition, to add to the fun, there will be loads of freshly harvested grapes to stomp. After lunch, guests will be able to relax and enjoy a memorable afternoon of live music performed by the popular Kitchen Jammin Blues Band.
