Chappies on the road

Bringing the iconic Chappies ‘Did You Know' wrappers to life, Chappie the Chipmunk and his team will be performing a ‘Did You Know' quiz and an educational skit on the different cultural heritages of the countries set to visit South Africa for 2010. The team will be visiting 90 schools in and around Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg until the end of March 2010, targeting children between the ages of 12 and 14 years.

Entitles ‘Where in the World', it will be provided for Cadbury, owners of the brand by activation specialist, thewinwingroup. A giant inflatable globe will travel with the team allowing children to see which countries will be visiting South Africa, what makes them unique and ‘where in the world they are'. At the end of each show, children will split into teams for the quiz with loads of branded stationery prizes up for grabs.

“This campaign aims to broaden children's knowledge by being fun, relevant and educational. We hope that we will spark excitement and encourage each child to welcome all our visitors and be well informed young South African hosts,” says Alistair Mokoena, Cadbury South Africa marketing director - Candy & Gum.
