It's time to Toy Toy

And in doing so, you will be able to bring a smile of happiness to an underprivileged child this Christmas.

Engen Petroleum Ltd has partnered with the Good Hope FM Nigel Pierce Toy Toy campaign to collect toys and cash donations for underprivileged kids in Cape Town during November. This charity drive was started in 2006 and managed to raise R600000 in cash and donate 500 crates of toys for Cape Town's less fortunate children. All cash and donations are handed over in December – in time for Christmas.

Engen is the official sponsor of this worthy initiative, there are 10 other corporate sponsors, and they will shortly be calling for staff and dealerships alike to bring money or recycled toy donations to their nearest Engen petrol station during November. Toys can also be delivered to the SABC studio at 209 Beach Road, Sea Point.

A donation day will be held at Thibault Square, outside Engen's corporate head office, on Monday 5th November. Good Hope FM will be broadcasting from the square and Engen will include surrounding businesses in their call for donations to ensure the most money and toys can be donated to the worthy charity beneficiaries in time for Christmas.

Each of the Engen Quickshops taking part will have a branded donation box and Engen will be asking for suggestions from their dealers and attendants on which community charities should benefit from donations collected. The Red Cross Burn Unit is the main charity recipient from Engen, with the official handover being done in December.

If you would like to get involved or make a donation listen to Good Hope FM for dates and venues for donations to be announced or call Kate Thompson on 021 417 5833.
