The group introduced its Operations Manual at their annual conference last year and it offers current and potential franchisees the group's business methods, procedures and systems and aligns it with FASA.

"The manual brought stability and uniformity and our membership to FASA means that we are a transparent and reputable franchise," says Martin Cohen, CEO.

Vera Valasis, executive director of FASA adds, "… The Building, Office and Home Services category in franchising is one that is experiencing rapid growth in line with economic growth ahead of such momentous events such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup SA and the implementation of the Gautrain.

“Although South Africa, with only 17 different business sectors that franchise, lags behind countries such as the US with over 70 franchise business sectors, the UK with around 50 and Australia with 25, it is encouraging to see companies such as Jack's using the franchise business format to grow their business and offer viable business opportunities,” she says. She adds that by doing so, the group is contributing in the growth of FASA's various franchised business sectors."

The group currently consists of 62 franchises throughout South Africa. New franchises opening doors in the near future are Pinetown, River Horse and Mossel Bay.
