Lavazza inBlu is a premium pre–ground espresso coffee, which is carefully blended using select 100% Arabica beans from Brazil and other areas in South America. The blend will be available at selected restaurants and delicatessens; venues which currently serve Lavazza coffee to its customers.
Salome Tribelhorn, senior product manager at Ciro Alliances, explains that the launch of Lavazza inBlu is part of a drive taking place to build the Lavazza brand in this country. “Lavazza is known as Italy's favourite coffee. It's an extremely exciting step for us to make Lavazza inBlu available, in home, to consumers who have been enjoying it in restaurants and coffee bars. We urge our customers to bring the style and sophistication of a good Italian espresso into their homes,” she comments.
inBlu offers a velvety rich and full bodied flavour, with a slightly sweet aftertaste. It is excellent when prepared as a straight espresso, but is also excellent when used in cappuccino and latte drinks. Finely pre-ground, inBlu can be used in electric espresso machines and is one of the few pre–ground coffees that is fine enough to be used even in commercial espresso style machine porta filters. However, complicated coffee equipment is not a prerequisite - it can even be prepared in a simple mocca pot, for home use.
Packaged in a convenient blue tin, it will retail for under R100 per tin.
