President Zuma appoints new MDDA board member

President Jacob Zuma has appointed Zanele Mngadi as a member of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) Board.

The Presidency on Thursday said the appointment was in terms of section 4(1)(c) read with section 7(2) of the Media Development and Diversity Agency Act, 2002 (Act No. 14 of 2002).

"Ms Mngadi has worked as a journalist and as a government communicator for 20 years, including leading communications in the Presidency for more than a decade.

"She now serves as chief of staff in the Department of Environmental Affairs," said the Presidency.

The Presidency said President Zuma has wished Mngadi well in her new responsibilities.
