    Manley Communications represents MylifE

Manley Communications has announced their representation of the MylifE Project. Manley Communications will be working with the project on a pro bono basis as media and public relations partner assisting the organisation to secure international and national media exposure.

MylifE was founded in June 2002 by Linzi Thomas, Sifiso Jezile and fellow former street youth Wiseman Dinizulu. It has been run with the full participation of former street youth who have provided insight and understanding to the current situation of vulnerable, marginalised young people. It is a registered Section 21 Company not for profit.

The primary aim of MylifE is to divert young from a "cycle of destruction" of poverty, crime, violence, abuse, disease and gangsterism operating on the streets, in the communities and in the prison system and to regenerate them emotionally, socially and economically into productive mainstream society as future leaders.

The MylifE process works in stages, starting with MyChoicE, whereby previously disadvantaged young people who have made the choice to change their lives will be recruited into the programme. The other stages include MyGrowth, an emotional regeneration and life skills programme, MyhousE, a secure haven providing stability, love and care, and MyfuturE, a skills development and apprenticeship programme that leads to job creation and job placement, fitting the needs and passions of young people and wider society.

MylifE does not offer handouts - it believes that opportunities go hand in hand with responsibility. These responsibilities include "Pay it Forward". The project's youth are expected to engage in community development projects in order to learn the process and empower others. They will select and mentor new candidates and be role models for others. They will attend meetings and participate in MylifE events. They will be the Voice of MylifE and youth in general.

As an aspirational youth brand developed by and for the youth, the MylifE Voice aims to shift the paradigm of how society views "marginalised youth / street children" away from the negative stereotype of a "problem" to a vital, dynamic resource and solution.

By creating a message of hope and providing marginalised youth with employment and career opportunities in the hospitality, catering and allied industries, MylifE nurtures resourceful, responsible leaders, well equipped to tackle the realities and challenges of the future.
