We are seeking a quality assurance (QA) engineer with over five years of commercial experience to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing and validation. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to identify issues, design test cases, execute tests, and provide feedback to enhance overall software quality.

Qualifications required

• Over five years of commercial experience in information technology
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a QA engineer or similar role with a solid grasp of software testing principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in testing techniques, test case development, and defect-tracking tools
• Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate solutions effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software products

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases for new features and functionalities, particularly for call recording systems
• Work with Windows and Linux systems
• Participate in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban

Additional experience desired

• ISTQB or similar software testing certification
• Call recording experience with platforms like Cisco, Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark
• Solid understanding of the SIP protocol

• Cost-to-company salary: R850,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
