To oversee and manage multiple client projects. You are responsible for managing all aspects of the project from receipt to completion. This will include:
Receiving the design brief, providing quotes and production lead times as appropriate. You will be involved in initial project meetings where you will need to offer and discuss project direction. You may need to provide quotes to supply the work and will need to estimate production lead times on print work. Communication with the client throughout production is key as well as providing constant feedback on how the project is progressing.
Provide a full briefing to the production team. Daily and weekly meetings with the production team to brief on projects and set project targets will be required. The production team must have a full understanding of what is expected of them.
Attend site surveys and installations. On occasion, it may be beneficial for you to attend the installation to ensure the final part of the project runs smoothly.
Staff management and training. Management of staff and keeping morale high at all times. To provide or organise training to staff members and to keep this well documented.
Order materials and organisation of stock control. Correct materials to be ordered to specification and fit for purpose. Stock levels of material must be managed and readily available.
Oversee the quality control of products throughout each stage of production. QC of goods is vital to make sure we meet the high demands of our clients.
Dispatch and logistics. Making sure finished goods are sent in good time to meet collection requirements. Organising transport and transport/set up/take down teams.
Budget control/management and admin. Making sure projects are in line to make a profit and within the budget quoted.
Work with external suppliers to outsource work. Certain work will need to be outsourced, so you will need to manage work through other suppliers. Quality, budget and timelines will need to be managed. Visit suppliers to ensure goods being produced are to the specification and quality expected.
Skills:
The candidate must have experience in manufacture/installations and should have at least two years of experience working in a workshop and shopfit.
Experience in working/knowledge within each department (technical, CNC, Bench, Sprayshop) is advantageous.
Experience using project management tools/scheduling tools is a must.
The candidate must be sufficient in using spreadsheet software such as Excel or Numbers.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and respond to clients in a professional manner.
