The IIE Vega, Durban Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in UX and Digital Design for the 2025 academic year.

Competencies required:

• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• Passion for customer service
• Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively
• Organisational and time management skills

Minimum qualification requirements:

• An honours or professional four-year degree in digital design, interaction design, information design or multimedia or a relevant design degree with certification as a UX designer.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• You must have at least two years of industry experience working as a UX or interaction designer and will be required to provide evidence in the form of a diverse and relevant portfolio that showcases your ability to tackle intermediate to complex UX Design.

Working conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor (part-time) role

Working hours:

• Lectures take place Monday to Friday: 08:00 -17: 30 – specific days and times depend on the timetable for the specific module(s)

Salary:

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience and hours worked.
