We are seeking a highly skilled pre-press operator to join our dynamic web-to-print division in a fast-paced litho, packaging, and digital printing environment. This role involves preparing and processing digital files for print, managing artwork-related customer queries, and providing general customer service support, including order and delivery follow-ups.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process digital files for web-to-print orders, ensuring print readiness for litho, packaging, and digital printing.
• Ensure all files meet print specifications, including resolution, colour management, trapping, and imposition requirements.
• Provide customer support for artwork-related queries, assisting clients with file setup and troubleshooting design issues.
• Handle general customer service inquiries, including order status updates, delivery follow-ups, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless workflow from pre-press to final print production.
• Utilise Adobe Creative Suite to prepare and proof artwork files.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy before production.
• Maintain organised digital file management and workflow documentation.

Qualifications and skills

• Experience in pre-press within a web-to-print, litho, packaging, or digital printing environment is beneficial.
• Understanding of print production processes, impositions, and pre-press requirements.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign software is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist customers with technical artwork queries.
• Experience with digital workflow systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage customer service responsibilities alongside pre-press duties.
