Henrico Grobbelaar to head Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers' kitchen

Henrico Grobbelaar has been appointed as the Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers' new executive chef. Having, initially, started his career as a polymer engineer, Grobbelaar soon followed his passion for food and has, in the process, won four Culinary Olympic medals, has been named chef of the year in both international and local culinary competitions, and was awarded a FIFA Hospitality Excellence Award in 2010.

Before joining the Marriot, Grobbelaar worked in the kitchens of the Twelve Apostles Hotel as well as the Southern Sun The Cullinan Hotel in Cape Town. Grobbelaar also worked alongside the creative team that designed Cavalli Estate's kitchens and Equus Restaurant in Stellenbosch.
