Vic van Vuuren re-elected to ILO governing body
Vic van Vuuren, chief operations officer of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) has been re-elected to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) governing body. The African employer community has eight seats on the governing body and Van Vuuren polled the highest votes, from around the world, of the African group.
The re-election means Van Vuuren has a seat on the International Organisation of Employers' Management Board. He will also continue to represent the IOE as the lead spokesperson in the Committee of Freedom of Association, one of the key governing body committees.
“The re-election of Vic Van Vuuren is a proud moment in the history of South Africa and is proof once again of the calibre of business leadership that resides in South Africa,” says Jerry Vilakazi CEO BUSA.
