Damelin awards R67k bursary
Damelin's Work Integrated Learning Programme has awarded a R67,000 bursary to Sphindile Khethiwe Cele, a 19-year-old student from Kwazulu-Natal who has been struggling to pay her college fees for the past two years.
The programme encourages the education industry to give back to students through internships or by contributing toward their student fees. Although Cele has good grades and the support of her family, she struggles to cope financially and was considered as a deserving candidate for this bursary.
Cele is currently in her third year at Damelin Randburg and is studying a bachelor of commerce in marketing and business management.
