Data journalism course at Wits
New York Times' Ron Nixon will be running an investigative course at Wits Journalism, which will take each journalist participating from idea to publishable article, preferably a story with a data element to it. Ron is insistent that while data is interesting and those skills are important (and much will be taught during the course) the critical issue is the story and telling it well.
The course will start on 17 February, with three days of data training skills at Wits Journalism in Johannesburg. There will be a further three days beginning 31 March, and the final three days from Wednesday 7 May. If interested, please get in touch with Margaret Renn: az.ca.stiw@nneR.teragraM
