Saxon's chefs to participate in dinner series in Russia

David Higgs, executive chef for the Saxon Boutique Hotel, Villas & Spa together with his sous-chef Candice Phillips will be visiting Russia, as they prepare a whole repertoire of sumptuous dishes for food lovers in St. Petersburg.

Guests of the San Pellegrino group, a well-established name synonymous with not only the highest quality of non-alcoholic aperitifs, but to the food industry throughout the world, Higgs and Phillips will be participating in The Chef's Discover Dinner Series. An exciting dining initiative sponsored each year by San Pellegrino, Chef's Discovery consists of a series of six dinners arranged and hosted at different venues throughout St. Petersburg. Each dinner will feature a different international chef who will cook alongside local talented chefs to produce once-in-a-lifetime dinners.

Working with the best

This is not Higgs' first invite from San Pellegrino. "In 2011 I had the privilege of judging The San Pellegrino Cooking Cup with Elena Arzak, a 3-star Michelin Chef and whom some say is the best female chef in the world. Whilst at the beginning of this year I was also fortunate to partake in the Chef's Cup 2012 Gourmet Competition in the Snow where once again I had the privilege of cooking with some of the best chefs in the world."

An opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the best restaurateurs and food connoisseurs in Europe, managing director George Cohen of The Saxon Boutique Hotel says: "We are honoured that through Higgs' passion and commitment to this unique opportunity, the hotel not only gains great exposure in this market, but more importantly we are able to network with some of the world's best in the industry."
