Four Bollywood movies soon in Ster-Kinekor theatres

"Ra One" is coming to selected Ster-Kinekor theatres from 26 October 2011 in 2D and from 28 October 2011 as the first ever 3D release of a Bollywood title. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) stars in the sci-fi blockbuster which tells the story of a father (SRK) trying to mend his relationship with his teenage son by trying to fit into his 'cooler-than-cool world'.

In the midst of this back and forth of a dad trying too hard and a son wanting to 'dude-up' his dad's level of cool, mom (Kareena Kapoor) seems to be lost in translation between the two.

"Pyaar Ajnabee Hai" (Love is a Stranger) will be screened at Ster-Kinekor theatres from 11 November 2011. Done in total Bollywood style and set in South Africa, it tells the story of a stranger coming into the lives of a family in the form of love. Featuring a host of local talent, including Hoosein Vally, Akrum Amod, Varsha Singh and the likes of Usha Khan, Roselyn Mangar, Mpho Mafole and Sameeha Hoosen, the highlight of the movie is none other than Hoosein Vally himself, who for the very first time will grace the silver screen.

    "Broken Promises" full of comedy

"Broken Promises 3" is the third part of the hugely popular Durban-based series and releases exclusively at Ster-Kinekor theatres on 25 November 2011. This movie continues to explore the possibilities of different relationships and unexpected developments in households, but with past characters returning and new ones joining the cast, expect loads of comedy and excitement.

This time Amsugi faces a challenge from a new potential daughter-in-law who is highly educated and extremely wealthy. Amsugi finds that she is well over her head, trying to outwit and out-smart the new 'Tamil' daughter-in-law, Vimla. Vimla takes much joy in playing son against mother. She looks at it as an experience, as she has never had a mother-in-law in her last three marriages.

Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Ahktar are back with Don 2, opening at selected Ster-Kinekor theatres on 23 December 2011. Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Khan) now has his sights set on European domination, but in his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and the law enforcement agencies. The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.
