The show includes miniskirts and go-go boots to lonely hearts and complicated relationships.

Originally created for Off-Broadway by Phillip George and David Lowenstein, ‘Shout!’ is a high energy swing through the music, style and vibe of London in the 1960s. Five very different girls, identified only by the colour of their clothing, rely on the trendy magazine ‘SHOUT!’ for the latest in music and fashion trends. And, of course, the rather dubious relationship advice offered by the magazine’s agony aunt, Gwendolyn Holmes. Through a decade of emotional highs and lows – and great music – the five girls each experience a rite of passage to discover their true selves.

Nostalgic hits

This humorous, foot-tapping musical journey weaves the changing attitudes of the time with hits by Shirley Bassey, Petula Clark, Cilla Black, Lulu, and Dusty Springfield. The audience may expect songs such as ‘Downtown’, ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’, ‘Son of a Preacher Man’, ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Don’t Sleep in the Subway’ and many more.

The all-female cast includes the performing talents of Laura Bosman, Melissa Sanderson, Christine Thonissen, Enyha Swanepoel and Megan Spencer. Garth Tavares provides direction, musical direction and choreography. Tavares previously directed ‘Shout!’ in 2012, which was sold-out and won awards for Best Musical, Best Director of a Musical, and Best Actress in a Musical which was shared by all five performers.
