Editor of Elle magazine Jackie Burger said: "We are really excited about how far the Elle New Talent Campaigns have come and it is a pleasure to see how this initiative has created platforms for young people to move to the next level in their careers in the fashion industry."

The brief for the competition was for entrants to create a fashionable look using Max Factor products by drawing a look inspired by any form of a visual reference of their choice.

Clicks beauty marketing and brand manager Thea Guthrie said: "As one of the judges for the competition I found that the selection criteria was not easy, the competitors all worked very hard, showcased a great amount of passion, and skill for makeup artistry. Zakhele's work, however, stood out and he has shown exceptional technical ability, and managed to interpret the brief creatively, and that's what we were looking for."

Zakhele received a Max Factor make-up kit worth R20 000. He will also get to travel to Las Vegas to attend the Annual Global Max Factor Conference - a trip valued at up to R50 000. He will be promoted both locally and internationally throughout the year and will have the opportunity to work with the Elle Beauty and Fashion team, assisting the team in beauty and fashion shoots, an opportunity that will allow him to build his portfolio.
