The Night of 100 Stars appoints Manley Communications
Cape Town's largest fundraising function and premier social event - The Night of 100 Stars - has appointed communications powerhouse Manley Communications to assist with their publicity and public relations campaign.
The event is to be held at Cape Town's Artscape Opera House on 23rd October 2005 and showcases some of South Africa's major talent as well as several exciting new discoveries, directed by the incredibly talented Fred Abrahamse. Tickets are priced between R250 - R350 and are available at Computicket from 15th July 2005.
The event has been staged regularly over the last twelve years, with the last four events having collectively raised more than R3 million for a variety of local charities, less than 5% of these funds have been used in the production costs of the four evenings with a massive 95% going directly to the chosen organizations. With all artists giving of their time and effort for no remuneration and with printing, food and beverages being donated by their suppliers, the scene is set for 2005's benefit concert to continue a reflection on issues of social consciousness.
With already R1 000 000 in sponsorship, this years "Night of 100 Stars" is set to be an unforgettable event. The evening will begin at 18H30 with a wonderful selection of fine cuisine all sponsored by 10 of Cape Towns most highly reputed chefs. The show begins at 19H30 and is expected to last for two hours of exceptional, first class entertainment.
The carefully chosen charities benefiting from this year's event are:
Hope Ithemba - An Aids ward for children based at Tygerberg Hospital
Glendale Home for the Intellectually Disabled
Leliebloem House - A Home for Abused Children
The Adele Searll Memorial Trust Fund - A fund set up to distribute to the many smaller Township projects needing funds for the aged, mentally ill, abused and others
The Artscape's Education and Outreach Programme
The Homestead - A Shelter for Homeless Children
Red Cross Children's Hospital Cancer Ward
