With this in mind we created beautifully handcrafted posters out of hundreds of intricately cut pieces from maps. Each poster featured a breathtaking campsite, complete with exact GPS co-ordinates of the campsite. And every poster featured a product currently available at Campworld’s stores.
Cape Town, being the tourist hub of South Africa, is a place where travellers from all over the world come for an outdoor experience of a lifetime. We placed the Campworld posters in popular backpackers around Cape Town to raise brand awareness with both local and international outdoor adventurers.
Travellers were confronted with a brand that truly understood their adventurous spirit. And the Campworld mantra of “Get up and go” became a call to action that could not be ignored.
"This project reminded us why physical maps will always be the only way to explore. From the painstaking detail to the people who physically mapped mountains, deserts and oceans. It's everything Campworld is about," emphasised 34° creative director Geraint Gronow.
