In a powerful step toward improving road safety and protecting South African families, RoadCover, in collaboration with Wheel Well has announced a 12-month strategic collaboration aimed at combining prevention, education and post-collision support into one unified national effort.
At a time when road safety remains a critical national concern, this partnership brings together two complementary forces: Wheel Well’s deep-rooted expertise in child passenger safety together with RoadCover’s legal and Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims support.
The collaboration will focus on ongoing education and expert insights designed to equip families with the knowledge they need to stay safe, while also ensuring that, in the unfortunate event of a road collison, they receive the full financial settlement they are legally entitled to from the Road Accident Fund.
Through regular expert insights, national education campaigns and community-driven initiatives such as car seat donation drives, the partnership aims to influence both behaviour and outcomes from prevention through to recovery.
“This partnership is about more than awareness, it’s about our purpose as a business,” says Amanda Rogaly, CEO of RoadCover. “Since 2004 we have been the first-to-market RAF Claim Experts and by working alongside the trusted and credible brand of Wheel Well and leveraging Peggie Mars’s on-the-ground expertise, we’re able to strengthen our mission. Our everyday mission is to ensure that every road user involved in a motor vehicle crash on South African roads receives what is rightfully due to them, without unnecessary fees. This ensures that settlement funds are directed where they matter most: into victims and their families treatment, recovery, and long-term wellbeing and not into third party’s coffers.”
A key differentiator in this collaboration is the integration of trusted, expert-led guidance directly into public platforms, ensuring that safety messaging is not only visible, but credible and actionable.
“For us, prevention has always been the first priority, but we recognise that collisions still happen,” says Peggie Mars, founder of Wheel Well. “This partnership allows us to extend our impact beyond education, ensuring families get the right support when they need it most. By aligning with RoadCover, we’re ensuring that safety doesn’t stop at awareness, it continues through to protection, recovery, and dignity.”
The collaboration will also see the rollout of other co-branded campaigns with companies who care for their customers and staff and wish to amplify their positive contribution to South Africa’s society.
Together, RoadCover and Wheel Well are normalising the new standard for how public safety, education, advocacy and financial protection can work hand-in-hand, building a safer future for South African families, one journey at a time, because it’s not a matter of 'if', it’s a matter of 'when'.
