Lifestyle audits are often used by state-owned enterprises and government departments as a method in ensuring transparency and strengthening the investigative measures of anti-corruption units.
On 18 March from 15h00 to 17h00 the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Business School will host a Think Tank panel discussion titled “Combatting corruption in South Africa: The need for real transparency – are lifestyle audits part of the answer?”.
During the session various issues will be discussed, including whether results from these audits should be made public, if they should be compulsory for all politicians, and if these audits should be expanded to the private sector, particularly to the members of the media.
Interested parties can RSVP by sending an email to az.ca.uwn@98945142 before 15 March.
