Iconic brand Savanna, has brought another first to South Africa by launching a special release rum-flavoured cider – Savanna Blackbeard. The offering is set to fortify Savanna’s position as a game changer as it continues to push boundaries with innovative flavour profiles.
Packaging specialists, Just Design, were tasked to bring the story of Blackbeard to life on-pack. The design team began their own journey by diving into the world of pirates, drawing inspiration from scroll-work, maps and legends. The result, a unique visual depiction of Blackbeard himself built around the Savanna lock-up. Illustration house ‘Tulips & Chimneys’ worked with the team on the final illustration, detailing within the beard mythical creatures and dark oceans, adding mystery to the story of the never-ending odyssey to keep the golden elixir a secret and only for the chosen.
Recently launched, the response to Savanna Blackbeard has been extremely positive. Look out for it now at leading outlets.
