Senior Buyer - 6 Months Contract

Requirements 
  • Matric and diploma in purchasing or supply chain management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • 2-3 years of procurement experience with SAP
  • Understanding of imports and logistics (preferred)
Responsibilities 
  • Provide support services about all procurement-related systems provided to company service areas including the e-marketplace, SAP modules, e-tendering and e-quotes, republishing, corporate purchase cards, and any other procurement-related systems
  • Procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods, or services within a category
  • Responsible for carrying out all procurement processes and promoting the principles and benefits of good procurement practice 
  • Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments for the portfolio’s suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, effectively handle and solve escalated/emergencies, shutdown tracking, daily order processing, and supplier expediting, arrange import/incoming logistics of all purchases till delivery to warehouse or address as required, resolve queries, manage to purchase tasks and requirements in line with Company's business demands and processes meeting deadlines
  • Follows up on orders previously placed, solving problems such as late delivery, variation from specifications, incorrect pricing, etc.
