Job description

Purpose of role:

The Campaign Optimisation Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and refining high-impact, data-led campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and repayment. Sitting within the Decision Analytics team, this role serves as the vital link between data insights and business action — ensuring that predictive models and audience insights are translated into real-world campaigns with measurable impact.

You’ll thrive in this role if…
  • Are energised by turning insights into action.
  • Are comfortable collaborating across data teams, product, sales, and marketing.
  • Understand the nuances of timing, targeting, and messaging in multi-channel campaigns.
  • Have strong follow-through and love seeing results in dashboards.
  • Can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and precision.

What You’ll Do (and what success looks like)

Translate data into execution
  • Work with data teams and analysts to turn models into audience segments (e.g. demographics, behaviour, credit profiles, engagement history).
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing to define campaign objectives that tie directly to business value.

Success = Campaign briefs that are data-led, operationally feasible, and commercially meaningful.

Coordinate multi-channel campaign delivery
  • Launch campaigns through SMS, email, app, field, or contact centre — based on channel uplift modelling.
  • Manage calendars, track dependencies, and liaise with relevant teams to ensure timely execution.

Success = Campaigns go live on time with clear traceability and strong cross-team alignment.

Monitor and adjust in real-time
  • Track key metrics daily (uptake, conversion, repayment, opt-outs, etc.).
  • Adjust segments, timing, or messaging based on campaign performance data.
  • Provide clear reporting to management with insights and recommendations.

Success = High responsiveness to underperformance and consistent improvements in ROI.

Drive learning and continuous improvement
  • Run structured experiments (e.g. A/B tests, send-time optimisation).
  • Feed insights back to the Decision Analytics team to improve targeting models.

Success = Each campaign increases collective intelligence and sharpens future execution.

Ensure compliance and auditability
  • Ensure all campaigns follow data privacy, consent, and opt-out rules.
  • Maintain documentation and version control of campaign configurations and cohorts.

Success = Fully auditable processes with zero compliance breaches.

Core Competencies
  • Customer & Commercial Insight – Understands user needs, behaviour patterns, and value levers.
  • Analytical Execution – Turns dashboards, reports, and models into real-time decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Works well with analysts, marketers, tech, and sales teams.
  • Experimentation Mindset – Designs, runs, and interprets structured experiments.
  • Attention to Detail – Maintains compliance and documentation in fast-moving campaign cycles.
  • Adaptability – Comfortable operating in ambiguity with changing priorities.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, clustering, and targeting.
  • Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Excel, and campaign management/automation tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, SMS/email platforms, and analytics dashboards.
  • Experience managing campaign calendars and executing across multiple teams.
  • Ability to write clear briefs and interpret results analytically.

Experience & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years’ experience in marketing operations, CRM, campaign management, or analytics-led execution.
  • Prior experience in a data-led or fintech environment is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or related field preferred

Growth Mindset
  • Embrace learning agility: continuously grow by learning, unlearning, and adapting to change
  • Approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeing setbacks as opportunities to improve
  • Seek clarity in complexity, break down ambiguity, and drive decision-making through collaboration
  • Stay grounded in purpose: understanding how your role, your team, and your delivery outcomes contribute to Shop2Shop’s broader mission to power local trade

*Other Requirements
