DTP2 Designer

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented DTP2 designer to join our production team based at our factory in Alberton. This role is perfect for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is experienced in preparing artwork for print across various formats and materials.

As a DTP2 Designer, you’ll work closely with our internal teams to ensure all artwork is accurate, aligned with brand guidelines, and production-ready — every time.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and adapt artwork layouts to meet production specifications and printing requirements.
• Ensure final artwork files are accurate, correctly formatted, and ready for print across various substrates.
• Liaise with internal teams (sales, operations, and production) to interpret briefs and resolve any artwork issues.
• Conduct pre-flight checks, colour corrections, impositions, and proofing.
• Maintain consistency and quality control across all artwork produced.
• Stay updated on the latest print production techniques and software tools.
• Manage multiple design jobs with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a DTP Designer in a production or print environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of print processes, file setup, colour management, and prepress.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex production briefs.
• Comfortable working in a factory-based, deadline-driven environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A formal design/DTP qualification will be advantageous.
