Paint & Hardware Sales Representative - George - Western Cape A company in George is urgently looking for a paint and hardware experienced Sales Representative. Responsibilities:
- Sales and business development:
- Actively seek out and engage with prospective customers in the paint and hardware industries.
- Promote and sell paint, hardware, and associated products to retailers, contractors, and DIY customers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new clients and sales opportunities.
- Customer relationship management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide product knowledge and advice to customers, ensuring they receive the right products for their needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and follow up on sales leads.
- Handle customer complaints and provide solutions promptly.
- Product Knowledge and training:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and products within the paint and hardware industry.
- Attend training sessions to keep up with product developments and new offerings.
- Provide product demonstrations and training to customers where necessary.
- Reporting and administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Sales Manager.
- Track competitor activities and report market trends.
- Inventory and logistics coordination:
- Liaise with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels of key products and place orders when necessary.
Requirements:- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in sales within the paint or hardware industry.
- Knowledge of paint products, hardware tools, and accessories.
- Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships in a sales-driven environment.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Skills and competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Other requirements:
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
Remuneration:R15 000 basic salary + company car + commission
