Multimedia Designer

Cape Union Mart Group is seeking an experienced multimedia designer to join its creative studio in Cape Town. The successful candidate will create engaging digital content for leading brands, including Cape Union Mart, K-Way, Old Khaki, Poetry, and the company's rewards programme.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality video content, incorporating text animation for digital platforms.
  • Plan, direct, and edit video projects aligned with marketing goals.
  • Design digital assets such as social media content, email templates, and in-store promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all multimedia projects.
  • Manage multiple design projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
  • Stay updated with digital design trends to enhance content quality.
Requirements and qualifications:

Experience:
  • Five years of experience as a multimedia designer in an advertising agency, design studio, or digital agency.
  • Experience with fashion, outdoor, or retail brands is advantageous.
Technical proficiency:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong skills in video editing and animation using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with web or email design platforms, such as Marketing Cloud, is advantageous.
Portfolio:
  • A multimedia portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects in both static and motion-based design.
Educational background:
  • A tertiary qualification in multimedia design or a related field.
