IT Support Technician
Responsibilities:Technical support:
- Provide effective technical support and resolve problems for all relevant IT services to end users.
- Ensure end-to-end query resolution and continuous service improvements.
- Perform onsite and offsite updates and repairs for hardware, software, and cloud solutions/platforms.
- Troubleshoot and repair computer systems and IT frameworks across the organisation.
Service management:
- Adhere to the ITIL service management process and update the IT service management application with relevant progress.
- Provide equipment set-up support for new joiners.
- Repair and maintain system applications to ensure usability for end users.
Asset management:
- Follow asset management policies and procedures when handling IT assets.
Collaboration and support:
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and support IT services.
- Provide after-hours standby technical support on a rotational basis.
Requirements:- Diploma or NQF level six in ISO27001 - Information Security Management Systems Certification (ISMS) or a relevant qualification.
- Over three years of experience in IT user support or relevant experience.
- Experience in IT user support, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or related fields.
- Microsoft Desktop Support Administrator certification.
- MCSE - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification.
- ITIL Practitioner certification.
