The opportunity:This is an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified property site management professional to join a dynamic team that has become a leader in the field of out-of-home (OOH) media advertising in South Africa over the past fifteen years.
The company:In what is a relatively moderate period of operations in the world of OOH media advertising, this company offers over five hundred outdoor advertising opportunities across South Africa. These "sites" range from gantries, billboards, construction and building wraps, cubes, and shopping malls.

The role of the OOH site developer:The importance of the contribution of a quality and committed OOH site developer in their well-oiled cog cannot be underestimated.
Your responsibilities:Scouting and filtering:
- Scouting for possible sites
- Evaluation of sites (desktop and road)
- Taking site pictures
- Processing scouting information
- Compiling emails for filtering
- Providing feedback from the filter email
Verification:
- Creating an "in process" folder for sites
- Completing site request pages
- Obtaining and processing additional site information
- Activating graphic designers for SUP (Site Utilisation Permit)
Liaison with landlords:
- Building relationships with prospective landlords via interaction and communication
- Formulating a proposal for presentation to the landlord and facilitating meetings
- Effectively presenting the proposal to landlords and interested parties
- Orchestrating the formal signing of the proposal by all parties concerned
- Opening files and master lists and allocating negotiation details and proposals
- Conducting a second filtering process before starting the application
- Attending to and resolving all landlord queries
Application process:
- Liaising with the relevant town council
- Attending to and resolving any requests by the town council
- Driving the application process until an outcome has been reached (approved or rejected)
- If rejected, attending to any appeals until a resolution is reached
Installation process:
- Taking full ownership of the project (from A to Z), ensuring everything happens according to schedule
- Ensuring that deadlines set for every activity on the schedule are met on time to complete the project on schedule
- Engaging continuously with the project manager and landlord
- Arranging and attending all site inspections
- Engaging with technical staff, including engineers, when necessary
Requirements:- A Grade 12 qualification plus experience and qualifications in town planning
- Knowledge and understanding of the tender process and compilation
- Intimate knowledge of municipal bylaws, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of rezoning and building line applications
- Council liaison experience is an advantage
- Must be prepared to travel to sites, both locally in Gauteng and other national areas
