Business Development Manager

Remuneration:R25000 - R45000 per month

As the business development manager for Seen Studio, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding business opportunities in the region. As we venture into this new market, you will have the exciting opportunity to build something novel from scratch. You will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, negotiate deals, and develop innovative strategies to monetise our content effectively. Additionally, you will lead and manage a sales team to execute business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  • Partnership development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with brands, agencies, and other organisations to drive revenue and increase brand visibility.
  • Revenue generation: Develop and implement strategies to monetise content through advertising, sponsorships, and other revenue streams.
  • Market analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and contracts with potential partners and clients to maximise value for both parties.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the content and marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns and initiatives that align with our brand and business objectives.
  • Sales team leadership: Lead and manage a sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the media or entertainment industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market trends and opportunities
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of the South African, US, and Middle East business landscapes
