STADIO higher education is inviting applications for the position of: Student Administration Support Team Leader – Assessment and Graduations
PurposeSTADIO is seeking to appoint a student administration support team leader – assessment and graduations to coordinate and manage campus assessment administration and graduation processes, ensure the accurate and timely execution of assessment planning, results processing, certification, and graduation activities, and lead the Student Administration Support team in delivering efficient student administrative services that support academic operations and enhance the student experience.
Key responsibilities- Responsible for the accurate and timeous management of the assessment process for both online and on-campus delivery (Exam venue bookings, printed papers, online proctored assessments, and invigilators).
- Manage and train invigilators, process invigilators' contracts and payments.
- Manage the assessment marking and moderation process (batching) in collaboration with the campus registrar.
- Responsible for the management of the Assessment planner due dates & deliverables
- Assist with semester result sign-off process
- Responsible for the accurate and timeous distribution of results, transcripts and certificates on the campus as instructed by the campus registrar
- Collaborate and support the campus registrar with the planning and execution of the STADIO regional graduation campus ceremony.
- As needed, analyse queries, complaints and support request data, relating to the assessment and certification process on the campus, in liaison with the head of campus and campus registrar, in order to improve the student experience on the campus.
- Set clear and specific performance expectations, in collaboration with the campus registrar, by providing formal and informal feedback sessions.
- Institute performance improvement plans where necessary.
- Hold regular planning, training and review meetings with the student administration support (SAS) administrators.
- Keep staff motivated and engaged
- Is a member of the campus registrar academic committee meeting and will be expected to participate and contribute to this forum.
- Is a member of the SAS campus committee and will be expected to participate and contribute to this forum.
- Is a member of the regional graduation workshop committee.
Skills and competencies- Sound teaching and assessment skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to cope with change.
- Willingness to work when required on Saturdays.
Qualifications and experience- Grade 12 and a post-matric qualification (diploma/degree)
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a higher education institution
- Knowledge of:
o Assessments and results processes
o Graduation and certification process
o Working knowledge of student systems (SIMS/CRM/CANVAS)
o Good understanding of legislation pertaining to personal information, consumer protection, information systems and technology.
