Monkeybiz is seeking a creative and proactive
Social Media Content Creator to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling through visual content, who can capture the essence of the brand, its products, and the inspiring stories of its artists. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing engaging photo and video content, both in-house and on location, and contributing to the organisation’s social media presence across key platforms.
Key roles and responsibilities- Conceptualise and execute creative content campaigns, with a strong focus on TikTok growth and engagement
- Plan, organise and execute stylised photoshoots in-house and on location
- Create engaging photo and video content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Capture high-quality visual content using provided camera, lighting, and studio equipment
- Edit photo and video content for digital platforms, incorporating modern editing techniques and AI tools where appropriate
- Collaborate with the team to develop creative concepts and campaigns
- Maintain a consistent and visually appealing brand presence online
- Coordinate and manage shoot logistics, including location planning
- Travel with the team into township communities approximately once every 3 months to capture artist-focused content
- Take initiative in identifying new content opportunities and creative approaches.
Required skills and experienceThe ideal applicant will have the following competencies:
Work experience and industry exposure- Proven experience in photography and videography
- Experience creating content for Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling and content creation
- Proficiency in photo and video editing, including the use of AI-powered editing tools
- Fluency in editing platforms such as CapCut (or similar) is essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and community participants
- Professional and respectful communication style
Excellent organisational and administration skills- Strong planning and coordination skills for shoots
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong creative eye
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Specific requirements- Creative flair and ability to conceptualise and execute stylised shoots
- Willingness to travel locally with the team when required
- Own laptop with editing software advantageous (can be arranged if necessary)
- Comfortable working in both studio and community-based environments.
