Lecturer: School of Commerce Durbanville CampusLecture subjects in Commerce related to Accounting and Financial ManagementTeaching and Learning - Lecture Commerce subjects related to Accounting and Financial Management within a blended contact learning environment.
- Deliver engaging and student-centred lectures that promote critical thinking and practical application.
- Design and conduct assessments, including marking and moderation, in accordance with institutional policies and quality standards.
- Uphold academic quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students to promote student success, retention, and progression.
- Contribute to curriculum development, review, and transformation to ensure programmes remain relevant, inclusive, and aligned with industry needs.
Research- Produce accredited research publications in the field of Accounting and Financial Management.
- Demonstrate thought leadership within both the higher education and industry sectors.
- Conduct applied research to enhance teaching, learning, and industry relevance.
Academic Citizenship- Participate in community engagement initiatives and academic–industry partnerships.
- Strengthen relationships with industry stakeholders and maintain professional networks.
- Contribute to institutional internationalisation initiatives where applicable.

Requirements
- Strong academic background in Accounting, Financial Management, or Taxation.
- Proven experience in lecturing within a blended learning environment.
- Ability to utilise digital teaching tools and learning management systems effectively.
- Relevant industry experience with professional engagement in recognised industry bodies.
- Prior lecturing experience at a university or college level will be advantageous.
- A solid understanding of the South African higher education landscape.
- Demonstrate lecturing experience in a blended learning environment, including the use of learning management systems (LMS) and digital platforms such as MS Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom.
- Relevant industry experience in business, ideally with active membership in a recognised professional body or industry organisation.
- A minimum NQF Level 9 qualification in Accounting, Financial Management, or Taxation.
