Litho Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Litho Supervisor to oversee lithographic printing operations within our printing and packaging production environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising litho printing teams, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring efficient operation of printing equipment. The role requires strong technical knowledge of lithographic printing processes as well as the ability to manage and motivate a production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate lithographic printing operations on the production floor
• Ensure printing quality standards are maintained according to customer specifications
• Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines and targets are met
• Provide technical support and guidance to litho machine operators and assistants
• Troubleshoot printing issues related to colour, registration, and print quality
• Ensure correct machine setup, plate mounting, and ink control
• Monitor material usage and reduce wastage during production
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Conduct quality checks during print runs
• Maintain accurate production records and reporting
• Assist with training and development of litho staff
• Work closely with production management and other departments to ensure smooth workflow

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Litho Supervisor or Senior Lithographic Printer in the printing or packaging industry
• Strong knowledge of lithographic printing processes and equipment
• Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent understanding of colour control, print registration, and quality standards
• Ability to troubleshoot printing and machine issues
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and tight production deadlines
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety

Minimum Requirements

• 10 years’ experience in lithographic printing (packaging industry preferred)
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a printing environment
• Knowledge of production planning and workflow management
