Digital Marketing SpecialistJoin a purpose-driven Australian pet insurance brand on a mission to protect pets across the country.
We’re launching an exciting new pet insurance brand in Australia, and we’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to help us make a powerful digital impact. This is a remote role based in South Africa, offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic, collaborative team while supporting a brand that values integrity, creativity, and customer empathy.
About the RoleAs our Digital Marketing Specialist, you will plan, execute, and optimise digital marketing campaigns that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention. Working in a highly regulated industry, you’ll manage large budgets, use data to inform decisions, collaborate with analysts and creatives, and ensure all activity meets compliance requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Strategy and Budget Management- Plan and manage the paid digital channel mix in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
- Continuously optimise channel performance to improve CPL and CPA.
- Work closely with the Marketing Analyst on measurement, insights, and investment decisions
Campaign Setup and Management- Build and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Manage external agency partners, including programmatic specialists.
- Oversee tracking, tagging, and launch validation with Analytics.
Analytics, Reporting and Optimisation- Review dashboards, analyse performance trends, and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Troubleshoot tracking or attribution issues with the Marketing Analyst.
- Present insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct A/B testing and apply CRO strategies with UX and Analytics teams
SEO and Content Collaboration- Support SEO initiatives and technical/on-page optimisation.
- Conduct keyword research to inform both paid and organic content.
- Monitor organic traffic trends to identify optimisation opportunities
Customer Journey and cross-Channel Integration- Align campaigns with CRM lifecycle stages, including remarketing and audience strategies.
- Ensure messaging is consistent across social, content, and CRM channels.
Compliance and Risk Management- Ensure all digital content meets legal, regulatory and industry requirements.
- Identify and escalate risks or compliance considerations
Where you’ll work- Either remotely within South Africa or, at our office in the beautiful town of George in the heart of South Africa’s stunning Garden Route.
- Working hours will be semi-aligned to the Australian time zone: 06:00 to15:00 SA time giving you more free time later in your day!

Essential Skills and Experience- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing with a strong performance and paid media focus.
- Experience managing large digital marketing budgets.
- Strong proficiency in PPC, CPC, SEO, CRO and multi-channel digital optimisation.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok and DSPs.
- Ability to define and validate tracking requirements and troubleshoot tagging issues.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in a remote environment.
Bonus Points For- Experience in insurance, pet care, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of the Australian digital or regulatory landscape.
- A diploma/degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media.
- Passion for pets or animal welfare.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
