Job description
Purpose
To put together IT systems that can be easily maintained, from hardware to software programming and use friendliness
Installation
- Installation and configuration of hardware and software within 24 hours after the call has been logged.
- Finishing of installations onsite within turnaround time.
- Keeping change control documents of all changes.
- Updating computer software regularly.
- Updating computer screen software regularly.
Maintenance
- Weekly maintenance of systems.
- Generate high level of troubleshoot on regular basis.
- Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Helping end user via telephone or remotely with system issues.
- Creating user libraries on share point.
- Creating security and distribution groups for employees.
- Formatting laptops and desktops on request.
- Check computer hardware (HDD, Mouses, Keyboards etc) to ensure functionality
- Monthly migration of domains.
IT Support
- Configuring and setup of WI-FI routers.
- Configuring emails on tablets smartphones (windows and macintosh).
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
- Connecting network printers.
- Setting up and configuring of printer’s MFPs and Laser Jet.
- Analysing writing reports & communicating results to colleagues & managers.
- Creating users on office 365 using licensing.
- Troubleshoot IP, PABX.
- Procurement of IT equipment.
- Administering website uploads.
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
- Drive paperless initiatives including Microsoft teams usage in the business.
- Come up with new IT initiatives or devices.

Desired experience & Qualifications.
- Matric or similar qualification NQF 4
- Degree/ diploma in Information Technology
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Technology Support role
- 2 – 3 years' experience in Software and hardware programming
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- IT Microsoft desktop.
- Cloud storage.
