Project Manager: Events

Job description

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale music and cultural events from concept to completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Oversee financial management, including budget creation, tracking, and reporting to ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
• Source, negotiate with, and contract local and international artists.
• Liaise with sponsors, stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to ensure alignment with event objectives.
• Coordinate logistics, technical requirements, permits, and event compliance with local regulations.
• Manage event teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient task execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to maintain smooth event operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing large-scale events, preferably within the music and entertainment industry.
• Proven track record in budget management and financial control of multi-million rand projects.
• Strong negotiation skills and established networks in the music/entertainment sector.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
