Executive Director: Urban Mobility

- Strategic ability, sound financial acumen and an innovative, influential and collaborative approach are fundamental, as is expert knowledge, understanding and vision of the evolving Urban Mobility environment.
Purpose/Strategic Intent: To lead and direct the Transport function to ensure the provision of an integrated, intermodal and interoperable world class transport service across the City.
Requirements: - A postgraduate qualification at an NQF level 8 applicable and relevant to the functional focus of the position
- At least 5 (five) years’ experience at a senior managerial level including managing a large and diverse workforce and implementing multi-year capital investment portfolios
- Advanced knowledge of:
o Relevant policy and legislation
o Government systems, intergovernmental relations and performance management
o Excellent budgetary and financial management skills
- Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship building skills
- High leadership competency with an innovative, influential and collaborative approach
- Completed the MFMA minimum competency training or will be expected to achieve such within 18 months after appointment
- Appointment will be subjected to security vetting.
