Leading hotels of the world 2012 annual convention

Taj Cape Town recently played host to guests attending The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) Annual Convention, the most important international gathering on the global luxury leader's calendar.

The event, which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 15-18 November 2012, focused on the theme of "differentiation", a concept embodied by the Taj's unique luxury offering.

Conference attendees included managing directors, proprietors, general managers, and sales and marketing executives from the finest hotels, resorts and spas across the globe, who were hosted by a carefully selected group of Leading Hotels in the area, namely the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, the Cape Grace and The Table Bay Hotel. "It is not only an honour to be associated with a group of this calibre and to represent our establishment at a convention of such magnitude, but it is also gives us a great sense of pride to know that we are situated in the heart of a city that embodies such a rich culture and history", says Willie Williams, Director of Sales and Marketing.

Among the notable speakers at this year's event were Michael Lorentz, CEO of Passage to Africa, Piers Schmidt, the Founder & Chairman of Luxury Branding, Lisa Gill, a Contributing Editor to Condé Nast Traveler and Ravi Naidoo, the Founder and Managing Director of Interactive Africa & Design Indaba.
