US Consulate in Cape Town, US rugby sevens team take on GBV

Along with the US Consulate General in Cape Town, female members of the US diplomatic corps joined the USA Men’s Rugby Seven’s team took on gender-based violence (GBV) – ahead of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens final in Cape Town.

They produced a video message campaign – which promotes women’s empowerment and equality. The video campaign highlights the US government’s commitment to standing with South Africa to eradicate GBV, rape and femicide.
