With a beautiful Cape Town evening, a vibrant crowd, and some of South Africa’s top athletes putting on a royal show in their battle for national bragging rights, one could not have asked for anything better.
It was an amazing evening and one that Prepaid24 was honoured to have been a part of.
Despite a valiant fight by the Boks, they were unsuccessful in their effort to chase down an astronomical target of 253. The Proteas ended as the victors and took the spoils of war home.
Some of the evening’s star performers were Hashim Amla and Imran Tahir for the Proteas, with the Springbok talismans, Damian de Allende and Sergeal Petersen, also putting in great performances with the bat and in the field respectively.
Ex-Springbok captain and our Head of Business Development, Jean de Villiers, also took part in the contest and got his fair share of chirping in from behind the stumps, as the former inside-center sported the wicket keeping gloves for the Boks.
This joyous evening, during which national sporting hero’s come together and shone a ray of hope to a country in need of it, greatly resonates with Prepaid24 as a company. Since our founding in 2009, we have made it our mission to provide South Africans with expert advice and world-class service in the field of prepaid electricity, with the goal of proving that, when we value one another, great things can be achieved.
The truth is that there is a lot of hope for South Africa; the Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup brought to you by Prepaid24 proves this.
