Our audience profile is 53 % male and 47% female and we appeal to viewers across all race, income and age groups. We are the channel of choice for South Africans between Thursdays and Sundays and our weekend movies attract the lion's share of the television audience in South Africa.

Revenue

As a free-to-air channel, e.tv's only source of income is advertising revenue.

e.tv Programmes

e.tv's most popular programmes are wrestling, news, movies and South African drama.

45% of our daily programming consists of South African content and we broadcast four hours of prime time South African drama each week. Our dramas cater for all target markets: Backstage is our daily youth drama set in a school of the performing arts; Scandal, our daily adult drama, is set in the offices of a struggling weekly newspaper; Madam & Eve, our weekly sitcom, appeals across the board to South Africans of all races and ages.

e.news is South Africa's only independent television news service and it is highly regarded for its credibility, immediacy and quality. e.tv broadcasts three English bulletins each night and a daily news and current affairs show, Morning Edition, each morning. e.tv's prime-time flagship current affairs programme, 3rd Degree, is the most-watched current affairs show in the country.

International programming includes top-class television series and blockbuster movies.

e.tv was the first channel in South Africa to secure the rights to UEFA Champions League Football.

Our children's programmes are packaged under the brand name "Craz-e", a programme aired daily on the channel. We broadcast 14 hours of children's programming a week including some of the best international children's series on offer as well as eight local series.
