Job description
1. Executive Management
- Input into and drive achievement of the organization’s vision and values.
- Moves others to action through translating strategy, the vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviours.
- Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships between one’s area and other areas, teams, departments and divisions to achieve business goals.
- Obtain, analyse and share relevant information and identify key issues and relationships relevant to achieving the long-range goals of the business.
- Participate fully as a member on the Primedia OOH board and committees.
2. Senior Human Resource Management
- Input into and responsible for delivery of Primedia human capital’s strategic, vision and mission.
- Establish implementation plans and identify the key tasks, resources and anticipated
- challenges and solutions to meet business objectives.
- Function as a senior advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or
- specialty group regarding key organisational and management issues.
- Ensure the disciplinary policy and practice is consistently followed,
- provide guidance and advice pertaining to IR matters and represent the company at CCMA level.
- Drive, instill and reinforce Primedia’s values.
- Drive change management initiatives that build a culture of investing in people.
- Represent management and participate actively on various joint committees.
3. People Management
- Lead and manage the human capital team and at times temporary staff such as interns.
- Provide day-to-day direction in all aspects of human capital.
- Be the custodian of all interns and bursars across Primedia OOH.
- Foster teamwork and high performance.
- Challenge and develop direct reports through coaching.
4. Organisational Development
- Ensure the consistent and correct application of Primedia policies
- Drive and maintain organisational design, job profiling, job evaluations and structures in line
- with current business objectives and needs

- Responsible for effective implementation of Investors in People and maximizing employee
- engagement.
- National research and surveys (Climate, Engagement, Benchmarking, and parity/equity
- etc).
5. Talent Management
- Develop Primedia OOH ’s positioning as an employer of choice.
- Identify, attract, develop, reward, recognize and retain the best talent
- Ensure maintenance, tracking and evaluation of employee induction and onboarding.
- Develop programmes focused on recognizing individuals for outstanding performance and

Primedia’s values
- Drive the performance management process in line with Primedia performance
- Management policy and practice, supporting line managers for meaningful implementation and running performance calibration sessions.
- Ensure remuneration and benefits are benchmarked and prepare annual remuneration committee documents and reports.
- Work with executive management to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the business
- Coordinate divisional talent review forums
- Implement and monitor holistic wellness interventions in line with Primedia Group’s
- Wellness strategy.
6. Learning and Development
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess learning needs through structured and formal processes.
- Design, sell and garner support for, as well as implement learning and development strategies in line with business purpose and goals, and the BBBEE scorecard and EE strategy and targets.
- Submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs) to the relevant SETAs.
7. Transformation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Develop and drive divisional Transformation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the
Division. le recruitment, inclusion and retention of people with disabilities
Manage and report on the Management Control, SD and Corporate Social Investment
pillars of the BBBEE scorecard.
Maintain accurate records for training, SETA and BEE audits and Department of Labour
report submissions
8. Reporting, Analytics and Governance
- Provide value adding HC analytics and reporting that will enable the business to make informed decisions.
- Ensure accurate input into Primedia group monthly HC reporting.
- Database management on relevant HR information systems (such as Sage HR, Payroll,
- ESS and BEE123)
- Analyse human capital data and identify risks and opportunities to be addressed.
- Monthly HC management reporting and HC input into quarterly oardb reports (divisional and group).
9. Vendor and Budget Management
- Effectively manage and monitor the human capital budget and training program expenditure, ensuring majority spend on accredited courses and in a manner that maximises points on BEE scorecards
- Prepare and maintain budget reports to justify expenditures.
- Negotiate contracts with providers for desired outcomes, fees or expenses in line with Primedia’s Preferential Procurement Policy.
- Manage purchase orders and invoices.
- Contributes to the support and implementation of Primedia-wide policies, procedures, systems and initiatives
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the different facets of human capital (recruitment/onboarding/offboarding, labour laws and disciplinary
- procedures, skills development, and BBBEE
- Must have experience in performance management and succession planning.
- Must have experience in WSPs and ATRs.
- Must have Industrial Relations experience, including representing at CCMA level.
- Experience with Sage 300 People, ESS and BEE123
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates clear verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrates a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrates strong proofreading and editing skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Advanced planning and organisational skills.
- Experience in generating monthly human capital statistics, analysis of raw data and generating reports for Exco, Board, Social and
- Ethics and Remuneration committees, as well as statutory reporting to the Department of Labour.
- BBBEE Management Control, Skills Development (SD) and Corporate Social Investment (CSI) knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Media, Advertising and Communications (MAC) BEE scorecards.
