Our client is seeking a
highly organised Junior Marketing Associate to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of premium skincare brands in fast-paced international markets.
Role overviewThe Junior Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives across our brands and territories. You will collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to drive brand growth, manage campaigns, and ensure consistency across all touch-points.
Key responsibilitiesStrategic marketing and execution- Develop effective marketing strategies in collaboration with management.
- Execute approved campaigns, delegating tasks to designers, social media consultants, and other partners.
Workflow and stakeholder management- Manage workflow involving designers, Amazon consultants, influencer coordinators, and distributors.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Performance reporting- Prepare monthly reports on return on ad spend (ROAS), channel-specific marketing performance, and ROI.
E-commerce and website management- Lead the development and optimisation of e-commerce platforms and brand websites.
- Oversee UX, SEO, content updates, and conversion improvements.
Marketing collateral and localisation- Create and adapt marketing materials for each market.
- Coordinate translations and regulatory approvals where necessary.
Public relations- Develop and execute PR plans by territory; liaising with regional PR firms.
- Oversee the media engagement, press releases, and agency coordination.
Digital asset management- Maintain a centralised Google Drive data room with all brand assets.
- Ensure version control and accessibility for all stakeholders.
Brand guidelines management- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all channels and markets.
International market coordination- Support planning, execution, and performance monitoring in all territories.
- Liaise with local distributors and consultants to align regional activities.
Additional responsibilities- Develop campaign budgets in partnership with finance.
- Monitor competitor activities and prepare regular insights reports.
- Coordinate product samples for media, influencers, and partners.
- Liaise with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all materials meet legal requirements.
- Support event planning and execution (trade shows, consumer activations, education events).
Minimum Requirements- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably in cosmetics, dermocosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG.
- Proven track record in multi-market marketing execution.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Must be a South African citizen.
Workplace RequirementsThis is a
full-time, onsite role based at our office in
Milnerton, Cape Town.Candidates must be available Monday to Friday during regular business hours.
