Job descriptionRole Overview
- Responsible for conceptualizing, writing, and producing effective, innovative, and compelling advertising work that will be noticed by the target group, appreciated by the client, and applauded by the advertising industry.
- Creating meaningful connections between brands and their audiences, pushing beyond superficial advertising to craft experiences that resonate with people on a deeper level.

Duties
Creative Excellence:
- Drive the overall quality of the creative product whilst maintaining accountability to client objectives.
- Establishes a culture where powerful advertising combines with creativity and quality.
- The Avatar through-the-line approach is supported by you and this sentiment is filtered down to junior staff.
- Ensure the quality of work is maintained/improved under your guidance.
- Creative work that is presented is fully thought-out solutions rather than options (including detailed thinking, budgets, and timings).
- Produce TV ads that rank amongst the most liked ads in each emerging and developed market.
- Gains respect from the client and develops a valuable relationship with the internal teams.
- Create integrated “solutions” as opposed to “one-off” ads.
- Work with strategy and media at reviews and client presentations.
- Clarify the exact purpose/deliverables of a brief before developing work.
- Create a culture of ‘solutions not problems’ within the creative department.
Talent Management:
- Manage, grow, develop and empower junior team members.
- Contribute by effecting innovation that builds a positive agency culture and work environment through knowledge sharing, mentorship and guidance.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Copywriting or English
- Conceptual and exceptional writing ability
- A portfolio that reflects creative copywriting proficiencies
- Flair for writing imaginative, broad, intrusive, creative, and original work
- Ability to deliver creative work of distinction.
- Capability to take on campaigns with multi-element tasks that require a concept and a thought-through process
- Finely honed copywriting skills and the latest techniques
- Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Video Editing ?Flash etc
- 7+ years’ experience in the creative industry.
- Has achieved merit-worthy excellence by winning awards in their field of expertise and is recognized by industry peers as setting new industry standards.
