Students showcase photographic skills at TUT

The creativity and versatility of students of the Department of Visual Communication (Photography), Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) will be showcased at a photographic exhibition to be hosted at the Arts Gallery of the Faculty of the Arts from 4 to 22 March, 2013. The exhibition will feature the work of first-, second- and third-year students (2012 group).

According to Tamuka Mtengwa, lecturer at the department, the exhibition will feature a fascinating variety of documentary, architectural and commercial works.

"The department also makes awards and presentations to the top achieving students of 2012 at the event," Tamuka added. "We see this exhibition as part of our ongoing teaching, thus all organising is done by the students themselves. Core groups of students handle different aspects of the exhibition, co-ordinated by the department."

Viewing hours are Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 4pm (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

The Arts Campus is on the corner of Struben and Du Toit Streets.
