"Nampo attracts thousands of visitors and has become a significant event on Ford's calendar," says Gavin Golightly, marketing manager at Ford. "The theme of this year's show is 'Conserve tomorrow, act today', and we will therefore be looking to showcase and communicate with customers on our own green initiatives."
Customers will be able to find out more about these exciting and innovative features by visiting the Ford stand at this year's show. Ford will also reveal images of the new Focus ST that will be coming to South Africa. The much anticipated Focus ST will feature a high performance 2.0-litre Ford EcoBoost engine, capable of delivering impressive fuel economy despite its racing credentials.
"As we continue to introduce exciting new green features such as PowerShift technology and EcoBoost engines into the Ford line-up, the opportunity to communicate our focus on green opportunities is increasingly important and Nampo is the perfect platform to showcase these innovations," adds Golightly.
The all-new Ford Ranger is sure to be a popular attraction at this year's show. The eye-catching Wildtrak will do duty as the official service vehicle for the 2012 Nampo show, while a selection of Ranger models displayed in all-three body configurations - Single Cab, Super Cab and Double Cab - will be displayed. The Ranger made motoring history by becoming the first ever pick-up to achieve a maximum 5 Star rating under the Euro NCAP crash test protocol, a feat sure to generate considerable interest from potential buyers.
"This year's NAMPO show is sure to attract a sizeable crowd. There will be plenty of entertainment and attractions on offer so be sure to get down to the NAMPO Show grounds and visit the Ford stand to get a closer look at all the latest Ford models," concludes Golightly
